Why this program is different

This isn't a collection of DevOps tutorials.

The curriculum is deliberately progressive. You start with a simple application and continuously improve its infrastructure, automation, delivery, security and operations of the same system, evolving for four months.

  1. 01DevOps concepts
  2. 02Linux & systems
  3. 03Networking
  4. 04Git & collaboration
  5. 05Automation
  6. 06AWS
  7. 07Docker
  8. 08CI/CD & DevSecOps
  9. 09Terraform
  10. 10Monitoring & troubleshooting
  11. 11Integrated capstone

Each phase doesn't start over. It improves what you already built which is exactly how engineering teams actually work.

Who it's for

Built for people developing foundational DevOps capability.

This is a foundation-building programme. It suits people who want structured depth in systems, cloud and delivery not a quick tour of tools.

Students

Studying a technology course and want practical infrastructure skills alongside the theory.

Aspiring DevOps engineers

You know where you're headed and want a structured foundation instead of scattered tutorials.

Beginners entering cloud & infrastructure

Starting from the ground up with Linux, networking and systems before the advanced tooling.

Early-career technology professionals

Already working in tech and building the operational depth your role increasingly needs.

Developers moving toward operations

You write the application and now want to own how it is delivered, deployed and run.

NYSC Corps Members

Serving your NYSC year and want to use the opportunity to build practical cloud and infrastructure skills that can strengthen your career after service.

The four-month journey

Foundations, then cloud, then delivery, then operations.

Each month builds directly on the last, taking the same project further into a real DevOps system.

Month 1

Foundations

Understand delivery, then take ownership of the system underneath it.

  • DevOps
  • Linux
  • Networking
  • Git
Month 2

Automation + Cloud

Automate the operational work, then rebuild the system on AWS.

  • Bash
  • Environments
  • AWS fundamentals
  • EC2
  • VPC
  • S3
  • RDS
  • CloudWatch
Month 3

Containers + Delivery

Package the application and ship it through an automated, secured pipeline.

  • Docker
  • Docker Compose
  • ECR
  • CI/CD
  • GitHub Actions
  • DevSecOps
Month 4

Infrastructure + Operations

Codify the infrastructure, operate it, and defend the finished system.

  • Terraform
  • Monitoring
  • Troubleshooting
  • Progressive project completion
  • Final integration
  • Capstone presentation

What you'll learn

24 classes, organised into 10 progressive phases.

Expand any phase to see how the programme moves through it.

The progressive project

One project. 24 classes. A complete engineering journey.

The capstone isn't a brand-new project created at the end. It's the system you've been building since class one, defended in full.

Month 1 — Foundations
  1. 01Map the software delivery lifecycle
  2. 02Simulate a DevOps engineering team
  3. 03Build the application's Linux environment
  4. 04Administer and configure the server
  5. 05Troubleshoot a broken server
  6. 06Design the application's network
  7. 07Deploy the application behind Nginx
  8. 08Secure and troubleshoot its network
  9. 09Put the application under Git
  10. 10Collaborate through GitHub
Month 2 — Automation + Cloud
  1. 11Separate Dev / Staging / Production configuration
  2. 12Build a server health-check script
  3. 13Build an operations automation toolkit
  4. 14Design the AWS version
  5. 15Deploy it to EC2
  6. 16Build the AWS VPC architecture
  7. 17Add S3, RDS and CloudWatch
Month 3 — Containers + Delivery
  1. 18Containerize the application
  2. 19Build the multi-container environment and use ECR
  3. 20Build the CI pipeline
  4. 21Add security and automated deployment
Month 4 — Infrastructure + Operations
  1. 22Rebuild infrastructure with Terraform
  2. 23Monitor, break, troubleshoot and recover the system
  3. 24Complete and defend the integrated DevOps system

Where it ends up

The integrated system you finish with.

By the final phase your project runs as a complete, automated, monitored delivery system.

What you will build

Practical work, in every phase.

A selection of the hands-on projects in the programme. The full set sits inside the class-by-class curriculum.

Broken Linux Server

Investigate multiple failures on a deliberately broken server, identify the root causes, fix it, and document the troubleshooting process.

Server Health Check

Build a Bash script that checks the health of a running server.

  • CPU
  • Memory
  • Disk
  • Services
  • Open ports
  • Application availability

Linux Operations Toolkit

Automate the repetitive operational work you'd otherwise do by hand.

  • Backups
  • Log analysis
  • Disk monitoring
  • Service checks
  • Application health checks

Web Application Deployment

Deploy a web application on Linux and configure Nginx as a reverse proxy in front of it.

AWS Deployment

Deploy the application to EC2 and build the AWS infrastructure it needs to run properly.

Docker Environment

Containerize the application and grow it into a multi-container environment: Nginx → application container → database container.

CI/CD Pipeline

Build a pipeline that progressively moves through Git push → test → security scan → Docker build → push to ECR → deploy → health check.

Terraform Infrastructure

Recreate the core AWS infrastructure as reproducible Terraform code.

Incident Investigation

Receive a broken deployed system, then detect, investigate, fix, verify recovery and document the incident.
